Seminars and invited talks are held on weekdays at 11:00 AM. Seminars are either internal talks about current research projects, or invited talks by guests or project partners.

Upcoming seminars :

January 24 : Pascal ROUSSEL (UCCS Lille) : Advanced Characterizations, focus on XRD.

January 26 : Elsa VENNAT (Centrale Supélec) : Mechanics of dental materials.

January 31 : Jannick INGRIN (UMET Lille) : Diffusion mechanisms in minerals.

February 2 : Naoki OHASHI (NIMS) : (title to be confirmed).

February 10 : Sophie CARENCO (LCMCP, Collège de France) : (title to be confirmed).

February 7 : Daniel CHATEIGNER (CRISMAT) : Analyse combinée par diffraction-diffusion.

February 13 : Elena BARANOVA (Ottawa University) : Electrochemical promotion of catalysis at the nanometer scale.

February 16 or 17 : Michel BARSOUM (Philadelphia) : Phases MAX.

March 3 : Rodney FOX (Iowa State University) : Simulation in process engineering.

March : Richard TODD (Univ Oxford) : Propriétés mécaniques des céramiques et composites.

We also organize or co-organize international events, such as workshops. The most recent one is described below :
First Workshop on Rational Design for Improved Functionalities of Porous Inorganic Materials was held on November 7th – 9th 2016 in Saint-Gobain CREE Research Center, Cavaillon France. The focus of this workshop was on the rational design of porous inorganic materials, especially of

  • Catalysts and Adsorbents
  • Membranes & Filters
  • Thermal Insulators
  • Electrochemical Systems
Oral presentations were given by academic and industrial researchers dealing with synthesis methods, porosity modulation strategies, physicochemical characterization, functional characterization and modeling. This workshop allowed the participants to exchange on up-to-date research as well as on industrial requirements for materials and processes.
